Indigenous Knowledge is very crucial in the development context, and for this reason the institute is interesting in the investigation of this aspects. A team has been formed at the Sudan University Science and technology to address indigenous knowledge related aspects aiming at:.
• Investigation of IK that interact with the process of community development within Sudanese communities.
• Explore areas of validation and documentation of IK.
• Co-operate and exchange of experience with other bodies that share interests at national and international levels
The team includes representatives from related colleges and institutes (fine art, music and drama, natural resources management, education peace culture, forestry and range science).
